Since the beginning of the 21st century, with the continuous development of numerical control technology and the expansion of application fields, IT has played an increasingly important role in the development of some important industries (IT, automobiles, light industry, medical care, etc.), because the digitalization of equipment required by these industries has been the general trend of modern development. In general, CNC lathes show the following three trends:


High speed, high precision


High speed and high precision are the eternal goal of lathe development. With the rapid development of science and technology, the replacement speed of mechanical and electrical products has accelerated, and the precision and surface quality requirements of parts processing are getting higher and higher. In order to meet this complex and changing market demand, the current lathe is developing in the direction of high-speed cutting, dry cutting and quasi-dry cutting, and the processing accuracy is constantly improving. On the other hand, the successful application of electric spindle and linear motor, the market of lathe functional components such as ceramic ball bearings, high-precision hollow internal cooling and ball nut low-temperature high-speed ball screw pairs and linear guide pairs with ball retentors have also created conditions for the development of high-speed and high-precision lathes. CNC lathe adopts electric spindle, cancels the belt, pulley and gear and other links, greatly reduces the moment of inertia of the main drive, improves the dynamic response speed and working accuracy of the spindle, and completely solves the vibration and noise problems of the belt, belt and other drives when the spindle is running at high speed. The electric spindle structure can make the spindle speed reach 10000r/min or more.


Linear motor drive speed is fast, acceleration and deceleration characteristics are good, with superior response characteristics and following accuracy. The linear motor is used as the servo drive, eliminating the middle transmission link of the ball screw, eliminating the transmission gap (including the reverse gap), the motion inertia is small, the system stiffness is good, and the servo accuracy can be accurately positioned at high speed, thus greatly improving the servo accuracy.


Due to its zero directional clearance and very small rolling friction, the linear rolling guide rail has little wear and negligible heat, and has very good thermal stability, which improves the positioning accuracy and repeated positioning accuracy of the whole process. Through the application of linear motors and linear rolling guide pairs, the fast moving speed of the lathe can be increased from 10 ~ 20m/mim to 60 ~ 80m/min, up to 120m/min.

The reliability of CNC lathes is an important index to measure product quality. Whether CNC lathe can play its high performance, high precision, high efficiency, and obtain good benefits, the key depends on its reliability.


CNC lathe design CAD, modular structure design


With the popularization of computer applications and the development of software technology, CAD technology has been widely developed. CAD can not only replace the manual to complete the tedious drawing work, more importantly, it can choose the design scheme and the static and dynamic characteristics of large machines analysis, calculation, prediction and optimization design, and can carry out dynamic simulation of the working parts of the machine. On the basis of modularity, the three-dimensional geometric model of the product and realistic colors can be seen in the design stage. The use of CAD can also greatly improve work efficiency, improve the success rate of design, thereby shortening the trial production cycle, reducing design costs, and improving market competitiveness.
